Come enjoy a night of Live music in the park with your community. Concerts are held monthly from January through April and include a variety of Band and music. Jamport Authority will be bringing the funk, rock and jazz on Friday January 20th. Grindstone performs Acoustic rock and alternative on Friday, February 17th, Lifeline, A Tribute to Heart will be here Friday, March 24th, and The New Planets will close our concert series out on Friday, April 21st, 2017. All concerts will be held at Mickel Park from 7:30p.-9:30p.

Scheduled clinics are held on Saturdays from 9AM to 2PM. You must be a Broward County resident to attend. No appointment is necessary and customers are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All dogs must be on leashes and all cats must be in carriers.

The second annual Free Tree Giveaway will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2016 at Mickel Park. The event will start at 9 AM. Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Residents will be able to choose from 6 different tree species and several different kinds of shrubs. Each household will be allocated at least two trees and one shrub (more if possible) and proof of residency is required. Prior to receiving plant material, residents will be required to visit educational stations related to the National Wildlife Federation, proper planting and pruning, tree selection, and “right plant – right place”.

Wilton Manors will be partnering with the Wilton Manors Entertainment Group to bring an Art Walk to our community. This event will be held once a month for three months; Saturday, January 21st; Saturday, February 18th; Saturday March 18th , each date from 5:00p-9:00pm. A variety of artists will be on display for everyone to enjoy. Artists will be displaying their works and creations throughout the community on Wilton Drive.

The City of Wilton Manors Leisure Services Department invites you to attend our Classical Concert at Hagen Park Community Center on Monday, January 23th, 2017. The concert begins at 7:00pm and there is no charge for the event. Leisure Services annually collaborates with the Piatigorsky Foundation from New York City to provide performers for this anticipated event. This year we are happy to announce that we will have the pleasure of experiencing the musical talents of Jack Sanders. Mr. Sanders, is a highly praised and experienced solo guitarist who has performed and been recognized internationally for his talents. He has performed with numerous orchestras and symphonies throughout his career and is adept at playing music of all periods and varieties. Please join us as we enjoy this wonderful musical performance.

Would your child like a patient, attentive friend to read to? Read with Dogs provides an opportunity for your child to read to registered therapy dogs in a relaxed atmosphere. The dogs sit calmly and quietly for a story. Children can practice reading out loud without fear of judgement. It's a great way for children to gain confidence in their reading.

John Strohsahl, an avid birder, and David Walker, president of the South Florida Audubon Society, will discuss the birdlife of our City; year-round residents, winter residents, and the many species who only stop by during migration. This program is part of the Friends of the Library Culture Series.
