Wilton Manors City & Community Boards

The Wilton Manors City Commission appoints members of the public to fill vacancies on various boards and citizen advisory committees that make recommendations and decisions on a variety of matters affecting our community. These appointments give Wilton Manors residents from a variety of backgrounds a chance to volunteer their skills and contribute to our municipality. This board was created to review and sustain policy issues as they relate to both current and proposed operating budgets and the seven- year expenditure projects and make their recommendations to the City Commission. This is a two-year term office.

Charter Review Board

March 1, 2019

The City of Wilton Manors is convening a Charter Review Board.  The Board will consist of five members who will be tasked with reviewing the City’s Charter and submitting to the City Commission any proposed amendments or revisions by March 1, 2020. 

Each member of the City Commission will appoint one member to the Charter Review Board.  If you are interested in applying, please submit a statement of interest along with a signed copy of the City’s Board Application Form to the City Clerk by March 21st, 2019.   Here's a link to the Board application, or you can contact the City Clerk’s Office at (954) 390-2123.

The City’s Charter can be found via the City’s website (www.wiltonmanor.com) from the “ABOUT THE CITY” dropdown menu by selecting “City Code”.  This will take you to the Municode website to view the City Charter (Part I) and Code of Ordinances (Part II).  This can also be accessed directly at the
the Municode website.

Civil Service Board


The Civil Service Board is composed of five members, three appointed by the City Commission and two elected by the civil service city employees. The purpose of the board is to make comments and recommendations of the Civil Service rules to the City Commission and also to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of Article XII (Civil Service) of the City's Code of Ordinances.

Wilton Manors Pension Board of Trustees


Functions


The Board of Trustees has the sole responsibility for the exclusive administration and proper effective operation of the plan and Trust Fund under the provisions of the city pension plan. This is a two-year term office.
